Big 5 Safari in “Schotia Private Safaris” (NCL Sun)
R0,00
As a top-tier highlight among regional game reserves, Schotia Safaris offers a truly wonderful, intimate wildlife experience. Its smaller size makes it the perfect day trip destination, as the higher animal density increases your chances of spotting the Big 5 in a shorter timeframe. Enjoy a personal and spectacular safari that packs all the magic of the African bush into one unforgettable day.

One of the absolute highlights among the game reserves, Schotia is simply wonderful and, due to its smaller size, perfect for a day trip. This private reserve is the oldest in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and borders the eastern edge of Addo Elephant National Park.
The professional rangers look forward to introducing you to the incredible natural beauty in an open Safari Vehicle. The reserve boasts an impressive diversity of wildlife, vegetation, and landscapes. With over 40 mammal species and approximately 2,000 animals, Schotia offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round.
Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming lions. The chance of spotting these magnificent animals is very high.
The game reserve impresses with its dense animal population, and so far, we have always seen all the animals one could hope to see in South Africa. Lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and all the antelopes have made an appearance every time (although, of course, this cannot be guaranteed).
Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming lions.
Pick-up at the port at 8:00 AM. After a transfer of approximately 45 minutes, you will reach the Schotia Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you will transfer to open safari vehicles. You will enjoy an approximate 3.5-hour safari before stopping for lunch at a traditional bush lapa. After your meal, cooked over an open fire, you will return to the reception area in your safari vehicle. Your transfer minibus will be waiting for you at reception to take you back to the ship (arrival in port approximately 3:30 PM). The game rangers are English-speaking.
We hope you can open this video – it was created by Martin Helmers (guest artist on one of the ships) during his visit.
