Schotia Private Reserve Big 5 Safari

Category:

Safari in the private Big 5 Game Reserve “Schotia” (children of all ages possible)
One of the absolute highlights among the game reserves.
Schotia is simply wonderful and is perfect for a day trip due to its smaller size. The private reserve is the oldest in South Africa’s Eastern Cape and borders the eastern side of the Addo Elephant National Park.
The professional rangers are looking forward to introducing you to the incredible nature in an open Land Rover. The reserve offers an impressive variety of wildlife, vegetation and landscapes. With over 40 species of mammals and around 2000 animals, Schotia offers consistently good game viewing all year round.
Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming lions. The chance of sighting these impressive animals is very high.

The game reserve impresses with its dense animal population and so far we have always seen all the animals you would like to see in South Africa. Lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, hippopotamuses, giraffes and all antelopes have shown up every time (although of course this cannot be guaranteed).

Pick up at the port at 13h00.
After about 45 minutes of transfer you will reach the Game Reserve “Schotia”. Once there, you change into open safari vehicles. You have an approximately 3.5-4 hour safari before going to the Lapa for dinner. After the meal prepared over the fire, we return to reception in the safari vehicle. The minibus is waiting for you at reception and will take you back to the ship (arrival around 20h45).

The game rangers are English speaking.
