Sibuya is a wonderful destination for a day trip to enjoy an incredible safari. It is considered one of the most impressive game reserves in the Eastern Cape, with fascinating landscapes and diverse vegetation. The reserve is located on the river, combining a classic 4×4 jeep safari in open jeeps with a boat cruise.
This unique combination will create lasting memories.

The malaria-free game reserve on the Sunshine Coast is located approximately 130 km from Port Elizabeth and encompasses the unique East Cape Valley bushveld, grasslands, and coastal forests.
In addition to a variety of antelope species, including the rare bontebok and oribi antelopes, elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, and much more live here – often silhouetted against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean. The ancient floodplains and pristine coastal forests are home to a particularly rich wildlife population, with nearly 400 bird species and 45 game species – including, of course, the coveted “Big Five.”

Pick-up at 7:00 AM at the port. After a transfer of approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, you will reach the reserve’s visitor center. After a short refreshment and coffee stop (30 minutes), you will board the open 4×4 jeeps and enjoy the 3-hour safari and the breathtaking scenery. The safari ends at “Nick’s Jetty,” where the boat will be waiting for you. The approximately 30-minute boat ride winds upriver, offering a different perspective on nature. A short transfer of approximately 15 minutes takes you back to the visitor center, where you enjoy a typical buffet lunch. After lunch, the transfer takes you back to the harbor (approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes), arriving around 4:30 p.m. The game rangers speak English.
